Tip of the day:

You have to give a product about three months time to see if it is actually working on your hair.  You just cant read the marketing label, get hyped and expect results instantaneously.  Give it some time or you will end up with a mini beauty supply in your bathroom..hmmm..am I talking about someone you know?

To be Relaxed or to be Natural

The battle of relaxers, recently know as the creamy crack and the Naturals seems to be getting out of hand. We are forgetting that we have a right to make a choice. You can't force your personal opinion on others. If your happy wearing a natural...great. This doesn't mean that what is great for you is not ideal for everyone else. I find that some Naturalistas to be very defensive and pushy if  you have an opinion on natural hair that is hair.  Its fine if you want the love that comes with loving your own texture, there's nothing wrong with that.  However, there is something wrong if you chew someone out because they expressed their opinion about their preference.

It's ok to have a choice, it's ok to choose what works for you.  You don't have to explain your personal choice to no one.  Just enjoy the choice that you made and stand firm in it.  If someone is against your choice, well..that indidvidual need not worry because that person is not wearing the style.  Fair enough?

Taraji P Henson's Bouncin' & Behavin' Bob

As I sat and watched Steve Harvey's movie, Think Like A Man, I was mesmerized by Taraji's bob.  It had that swang, swag and bounce.  Everytime she ran her hand through her thick mane, the hair behaved and each layer obediently layed into the other.  Now that's a cut!  Everytime she mad a quick movement, the hair went with her. She definitely worked that bob.
